FAQs

1: How to volunteer abroad?

There are a good number of organizations that organize volunteering programs from time to time. However, before you begin searching for volunteering programs, decide which cause you want to volunteer for and then you can follow these steps:

• Google for different volunteering programs and see how many of them you are drawn to.

• Check the countries too; mark the ones that you like and help the nations where you can conveniently travel to.

• Zero down on the program where you want to volunteer.

• See how much time you have to prepare for it.

• Go through the application process, fill up all the required areas, and pay the fees.

• Apply for your passport (if you don’t have it yet) and if you already have it then apply for the visa.

• Start working out regularly and preparing for volunteering.

2: How to decide on the right volunteering program?

Understand that volunteering is not a compulsion and only when you are very sure of offering your best, you must get involved. After you are sure that you want to volunteer and decide on the nation and purpose then you can follow the following process.

• Be clear about what you want from volunteering experiences and for how long can you keep yourself engaged in this.

• Sincerely check what skills can you use and how interested you are to volunteer for this.

• Check and critically evaluate your skills.

• Look for volunteering opportunities that will complement and take you closer to achieving them.

• Sincerely check your availability and update the organization accordingly.

• Look for opportunities; leave no stone unturned.
