In an era of innovation, the pursuit of knowledge remains at the heart of progress. Asia Education Conclave recognizes and celebrates the incredible educators, entrepreneurs, and leaders from the education industry, whose contributions have been shaping the future of education, in its annual award ceremony – the Asian Education Awards. This time the event opened its 4th glorious chapter on November 9 at Hotel Amari, Bangkok recognizing more than 120 awardees for their exemplary contribution to education worldwide.
The Asia Education Conclave is a global community serving as a platform for educators, trainers, entrepreneurs, thought leaders, consultants, decision-makers, iconic institutions, and others to connect, exchange ideas, inspire, and support each other in pioneering discoveries that would catalyze innovation in education, pursue new ideas and multiply its expanse. Its annual International Education Summit is the meeting ground for the who’s who from the global education sector. This edition was no exception; in fact, it was a notch higher than the rest hosted so far.
Unveiling a Legacy of Excellence
On November 9, the grand celebration opened with a vibrant Prae-Wa-Ga-la-sin Silk Dance, by exceptionally talented children from the ‘Smart Kids’ jostling with energy that left the audience charmed for the rest of the day. The opening dance was a grand display of rich Thai culture, the exotic artistry of Praewa silk, and the prized traditions of the Ga-la-sin Province. It acquainted the global audience with the traditions of the hosting country, creating cherished memories and eager anticipation for what was coming up.
The keynote speech by Prof. Dr. Sanjib Neil Chakraborty, Founder President of Asia Education Conclave, set the tone of the day, as he addressed the audience, “We are here to connect one educator with other educators; it has been our idea of this summit since its inception. We are educators because we want to look into the future of the 21st century society and build from there. We are looking forward to a great education moment today in this particular place that can actually create a movement for us going forward.” He is a revered edupreneur, academician, and educational advisor with a PhD in Management Science and a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) with two Master’s Degrees in Education (M.Ed. in Curriculum & Instruction Design), he is also a Certified L&D Practitioner and a Certified Trainer.
The idea of the summit was conceptualized and shaped by Prof. Dr. Chakraborty to recognize and applaud the changemakers who have been meticulously shaping the education sector, inspiring remarkable transformations, encouraging innovations, bringing about benchmark changes resurrecting education systems, and developing mechanisms to deliver it effectively for the intended purposes.
Participants flew from over 17 nations such as the USA, the UK, India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Australia, Canada, Dubai, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia, Singapore, Vietnam, Myanmar, Uzbekistan, and Thailand, to attend the event. From a sea of nominations (more than 5000) the esteemed panel of judges chose 120+ awardees for different categories, reflecting the versatility of the scope of recognition by the Asia Education Conclave where Asia Education Digest was the media partner.
Organizing an event of the stature of the Asian Education Awards 2024 calls for a strong list of patrons. The event has been powered by the Asian College of Teachers (India, Thailand), East Bridge University (Paris), Techno India Group (India), and International Education Accreditation Council (United Kingdom).
The venue was abuzz with transformative ideas from innovative changemakers; a perfect ambiance for some thought-provoking discussions. What better way than adding a distinguishable dimension to the event with EduTalks and Panel Discussions over some of the key talking points! The event had three distinctive EduTalks by three of its distinguished Guests of Honor – Dr. Janat Blackmon (Canada), Dr. Satyam Roychowdhury (India), and Dr. Margaret Davitt Maughan (USA), talking about some of the most hard-hitting matters in education and the industry.
The Best Motivation is Appreciation
“This is the platform for educators. We are here to empower, listen to you, and network with you. We started with around fifteen people in our first conference, now we have almost 250; from (participating educators of) five countries to 17 countries,” said Prof. Dr. Sanjib Neil Chakraborty, Founder and President of Asia Education Conclave amid overflowing applauds.
The awardees reflected a splendid diversity among the achievers representing different regions of the globe, cultures, and education scenarios; a perfect frame to witness the international education sector. More than 120 awardees from 17 nations claimed the day with their extraordinary efforts to make a difference, improve standards, and add dimensions to the system; some even created possibilities where there weren’t any.
The dynamic group of educators has been bending ways to make education more inclusive than it has ever been. The case of an educator from Vietnam is an extraordinary case of undeterred grit. Torn by political unrest and disturbed by natural calamities, the education sector is only shaping up in Vietnam. It was an honor for the Asian Education Awards to identify the exceptional educator who showed an indomitable spirit against the odds, for teaching English in Vietnam. Like him, you will read about other educators who have been adding value and improving education worldwide.
We have dedicated some pages of importance to the extraordinary educators, edupreneurs, and other stakeholders of education and their achievements.
A Lot of Sparkle
The intellect-studded affair was dotted with moments to inspire; educators pushing their limitations to make room for improvement, innovations simplifying learning and making it more inclusive, creating engaging and encouraging classroom ambiance, discovering best teaching practices, and more.
Education is the way forward, especially for sustainability, which makes this event even more significant. The dignitaries present were each agents of transformation in their unique ways, improving education standards in their respective regions. Edupreneurs emerged as significant forces behind major transformations through well-designed structures and strategies. Amid brimming ideas and dynamic exchanges, the event transformed into a thriving ground for achievers and gave reasons for boundless hope for the education sector to be the most potent force for change and serve the purpose of a fast-evolving civilization.
The summit brought together continents closer to each other – on adjacent tables to be precise, and became a thriving hub for educators to bring about the next set of transformations that would take education to the next level and benefit generations of learners. Like every amazing thing, the much-awaited education summit of the year also concluded but on higher notes of accomplishments and with blueprints for further ambitions.
