When we talk about trends, it would be a sin to miss out the trends and related factors that are set to reshape the job markets worldwide by 2030.
In January this year, the World Economic Forum published a report, ‘The Future of Jobs Report 2025’, which predicted five crucial factors that will significantly influence jobs, skills in demand, and transform workplace strategies in the years to come. The factors include geo-economic fragmentation, an inclination towards a green economy or environmental friendliness, economic uncertainty, dynamic technological developments, and demographic shifts.
AI has disrupted the workspace; no one is denying that, and most of the changes that have occurred in the workspace have been influenced by AI. Among the different elements that are set to dominate the upcoming job requirements are robotics and automation, energy generation, storage and distribution, cybersecurity, technological literacy, and several others. Given the situation, it poses a threat and a couple of opportunities as well. Nikhil Kamath, Co-founder, Zerodha, was quoted by the Economic Times, “Lifelong learning is the new norm – for everyone.”
That’s the secret and one of the most assured ways to remain afloat and thrive in current times and in the years to come.
